Social work leading to development of Rural India has been an important component of Dr. Vijay Tiwari’s professional career. He has an experience of more than 35 years.
He had made multiple and unparalleled contributions in his long and illustrious career as an institution-builder, civic leader, social work administrator, social service and social responsibility and as an extraordinarily effective ambassador of good will to the rural sections of the Society.

He is working for the creation of entrepreneurship and employment opportunities in the 29 subjects of Panchayati Raj to strengthen Rural India. He is focusing on promoting the development of a Special Spiritual Zone around 125 kms of Shri Ayodhya Ji, empowering about 15,000 Gram Panchayats of his region.

Rashtriya Kamdhenu Chair is an initiative of Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog, Ministry of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Government of India. University Grants Commission, All India Council for Technical Education and Association of Indian Universities are partners in this.
Idea is to create the Chair in all the Central, State, Private, Self Financed, Deemed and other Universities of India and work in the Cow Based Rural Economy.
Saansad Aadarsh Gram Yojana is a rural development programme broadly focusing upon the development in the villages which includes social development, cultural development and spread motivation among the people on social mobilization of the village community. The programme was launched by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi on the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Narayan, on 11 October 2014.
INITIATIVE, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India involves six Member Committee for the mapping of the Institutes from 10,500 Institutes recognized by AICTE with the SAGY adopted villages by Hon’ble Members of Parliament. They conduct grass root surveys in six villages of Uttar Pradesh, coordinate training programs for the Regional officers of AICTE to take this initiative forward. He has also helped in preparing basic DPR of 1481 villages as per the questionnaire.
Dr. Vijay Tiwari played a vital role in establishing Country’s first RBH Cell at Divisional level in Indore, MP. After seeing his work in the Indore Division he was asked to work as a National Coordinator for the RBH programme at National Level from Delhi.
They activated all the Local Productivity Councils affiliated to National Productivity Council, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, GOI which have been recommended by Secretary MoPR to be developed as Gate-Way agencies for RBH. He facilitated the opening of the Country’s first Department of Panchayati Raj at University level in formulation of training programmes and modular courses for the promotion of RBH across the nation. It Involved organizations like NASSCOM, CAPSI, GANSF etc. along with their Centers to act as Gate-Way agencies for RBH.
Followed by the appointment of Nodal officers from CSIR for the promotion of rural Technologies developed by them. He also initiated the RBH programme in all 6 BRGF districts of Indore Division of which 3 Projects were submitted to the Ministry. He visited divisions of Shri Ayodhya Ji and Prayagraj (Allahabad) in UP for RBH programmes.
The Global Open University, Nagaland is a distance education University having a wide no. of courses right from certificate, diploma to MBA, M.Phil. etc. He initiated two new departments i.e. Panchayati Raj and The School of Oriental Medicine in the University.
Yog Confederation of India (YCI) is affiliated to International Yog Confederation and The World Community of Indian Culture and Traditional Disciplines having affiliate units and chapters across the country.
YCI has been actively involved in the promotion and propagation of Yog, Ayurved,Naturopathy and traditional systems in India and abroad for the past 25 years. They have Launched a programme Yog Vidya Jagriti Abhiyan – International Holistic Health Movement in association with NEC, Ministry of DoNER, Govt. of India in 2005 from Shillong and this programme has reached more than 120 countries. They also organize three International programmes Maharishi Patanjali Week Celebrations in Bhopal, Brahmarishi Shandilya Diwas at Ayodhya and MITICA INDIA in Europe apart from supporting and organizing many National and International programmes and awards.
He promotes Indian Culture across the Globe and has also established International awards. He also coordinates the MITICA INDIA festival in Europe every year apart from supporting many such programmes in many parts of the world.
His vision is to create a unified effort to promote social work for Rural India leading to the creation of the Lotus Tower TV. This enterprise established by Dr. Vijay Tiwari, aims to raise the visibility of the social work profession and to improve the public perception for Rural India. The organization's main purpose is to provide education regarding aspects of Rural India and to coordinate existing services and to identify service gaps and work to fill them.
