In India, we have 2.5 lakh Gram Panchayats with 32 elected representatives including the representatives belonging to SC, ST and the OBC communities. Gram Panchayats cover 29 subjects of economic development and social justice for effective delivery of services like telecom, sanitization, water supply, electricity etc. in diverse areas of rural India.
The panchayat can help rural entrepreneurs to bring rural prosperity and attractive earnings to the village entrepreneurs.
Infact, the growth of rural India depends on the rate of employment provided to them. Also, there is no evaluation of Gram Panchayat assets and liabilities till date. The more employed people the more income they generate leading to rural growth. Villagers are capable of making everything they need but somehow they have deprived themselves of the opportunities to do so. Education level is the major hindrance which can be initiated by providing training at village, block and district level.
In harnessing rural technology, it is very important to develop entrepreneur skills amongst the youth of rural India in which panchayats play a major role. Rural prosperity is directly linked to rural infrastructure as it provides basic amenities which improve their quality of life.
For developing rural entrepreneurship in order to promote agriculture and industries in both farm and non-farm sectors, these panchayats can assist rural youths from arranging funds from the various financial institutions, corporates, NGOs etc.
Realizing the importance of employment in the rural sections of societies and to raise their living standard, we have decided to provide 2.5 lakh gram panchayat with a special support structure for creating innovation based start-ups.
